Croup

Croup is a condition where there is difficulty in breathing in. It is commonly caused by an infection of the mucosa above the larynx and of the larynx itself. There are a number of different agents which are responsible. Breathing may be aided by using steam to moisten the inhaled air, and decongestants. If infection is by a bacterium antibiotics may help.
