Nappy Rash

What you need to know:

Using undyed pure terry nappies instead of disposables is less likely to cause this problem. Obviously, if you leave your baby for too long in a soiled nappy, there’s a much greater chance of the rash starting.

Allow the baby to be uncovered as much as possible and use a very weak solution of Tea tree oil to wash the sore bottom - 5 drops to a pint of tepid water. Callendula cream, aloe vera gel or chamomile cream are all gentle and healing emollients.

Apply a very thin smear of live, natural yoghurt at night to prevent yeast infections.
