Lumps

What you need to know:

If your child gets persistent lumps in the neck, it’s always essential to have them investigated by your doctor for the extremely unlikely possibility that they may be a sign of serious disease. In nearly all instances, however, they’re simply the result of the body’s immune system doing its job in fighting off infection. In children, in fact, lumps in the neck could be seen as healthy. They’re more prone to infections than adults, so up come the lumps to attack invading bugs.

After prolonged or repeated infectious illnesses, some of these lymph glands may never return to their original size - but that’s nothing to worry about.

The only natural therapy is to treat the underlying conditions which made them enlarge.
