Oral Thrush

By far the most common trigger of oral thrush is treatment with antibiotics. They kill the bad bugs, but they also kill the good, protective ones, which allows yeast organisms to multiply in the mouth.

Oral contraceptives may also cause oral thrush in some women. And some asthmatic who use steroid inhalers might also be at risk – they should rinse their mouths with cold water after each inhalation and should change their toothbrush at least every two months.

There are many herbs which are antifungal and antiseptic, which makes them useful in the treatment of thrush. They include:
