Other useful advice:Ice packs will bring out the bruising and a cabbage leaf poultice will disperse the bruise and reduce any swelling, Remove the thick central vein from a large cabbage leaf, bruise the leaf with a wooden spoon, warm the leaf in a steamer, microwave or low oven, then apply to the bruised area and wrap tightly with a thin cloth. Leave for 15 minutes and repeat as necessary.The child should also be given lots of pineapple and pineapple juice, which contain special healing enzymes. |
