Other information

Gentian has been used as digestive tonic in Europe for centuries and is often used as an appetite stimulant and for Indigestion, Hiatus hernia and nausea. It is available as tablets, capsules and tinctures. Tinctures of Gentian appear to have the most efficacy for digestive disorders due to the fact that the taste buds are stimulated as soon as the liquid touches the tongue.
