Varicocoele

Varicocoele is the name given to dilatation and swelling of the veins which drain the testicle. It occurs more often on the left than the right, and while it usually produces no symptoms it may cause a bulge above the testicle in the scrotum and give rise to aching and discomfort. It is said to be associated in some cases with a low sperm count, and surgical correction may improve this.
