Retrograde Ejaculation

Retrograde ejaculation means you ejaculate backwards. At orgasm no ejaculate is produced through the penis. Under normal circumstances the sphincter at the bladder neck, where it joins the prostate, closes during orgasm and ejaculation progresses through the penis. Operations on the bladder neck, usually performed to increase urine flow in cases of bladder neck obstruction (due to hypertrophy of the muscle that forms part of the sphincter) can interfere with its function, so that the secretions of the seminal vesicles, the prostate and the sperm from the vas deferens, (the ejaculate), pass backwards into the bladder rather than forwards into the penis.
