Vomiting

What you need to know:

Vomiting which continues for more than 12 hours must always be investigated. If you suspect it’s due to food poisoning, contact your local environmental health officer as well as your doctor; it may be that the shop where you bought the suspect food or the restaurant where you ate a suspect meal need to be inspected.

Maintaining fluid levels is extremely important. You need to be having sips of boiled, cooled water every five minutes. Commercially produced rehydration fluids - which taste like rather strong mineral water - can also help.
