Although most doctors no longer advise bed rest in these circumstances, it does make sense that women stop doing too much, getting over-tired and even more anxious. A healthy balanced diet is essential at this time, so are gentle relaxation techniques which can be done from your bed or while you’re sitting on the sofa. This isn’t the time, however, to take up new activities like yoga, which could put too much strain on muscles which are already feeling fragile.
