Lumps

What you need to know:

It’s essential to have these investigated by your doctor to rule out the possibility that they might be cancerous. Persistent lumps in the neck, in nearly all instances, are simply the result of the body’s immune system doing its job properly in response to injury or infection.

After prolonged or repeated infectious illnesses, some of these lymph glands may never return to their original size - but this is of no consequence.

The only therapy is to treat the underlying conditions which has caused them to enlarge.
