Restless Legs Syndrome
Symptoms
of this usually minor, but nonetheless unpleasant problem start as soon
you sit down or go to bed. An uncontrollable need to move the legs, jerky
spasms of the leg muscles, and uncomfortable feelings deep within them
are 'part-and-parcel' of restless legs syndrome.
It
may be caused by prescribed drugs or possibly by a problem in the central
nervous system, but both these situations are rare. More often it is
a symptom of Iron deficiency anaemia or caused by circulation problems
(varicose veins), although it sometimes occurs for no apparent reason.
