Fibromyalgia
Fibromyalgia
or fibrositis is a complex condition often thought of as a rheumatic disorder,
but has many different symptoms. Muscle pain and stiffness is the primary
symptom, which normally affects the lower back, neck, shoulders, back
of the head, thighs and upper chest. Other symptoms include: headaches,
fatigue, depression, anxiety & sleep disorders, palpitations, irritable
bowel syndrome, impairment of co-ordination & memory, skin sensitivities,
dry mouth & eyes and dizziness.
Fibromyalgia
is unpredictable and symptoms are often severe enough to interfere with
normal daily activities and in some cases this illness can actually
disable the individual.
