Salivary Duct Stones

Stones in the ducts of the salivary glands present with pain and swelling of the gland, particularly on eating. It is more common in the glands under the tongue than the parotid gland at the angle of the jaw. Sometimes the stone can be milked out of the duct, but surgery may be required.
