Dental Problems

Orthodontic problems occur when there is disordered positioning of the teeth with in the jaw. These can be corrected by the use of an orthodontic appliance - a brace made of wire which is either fixed to the teeth and applies pressure so that they are gradually straightened or moved, or a removable brace which can be used to retain the teeth in the appropriate position. While many years ago a brace was regarded by children as a cause of embarrassment, it is now regarded as almost a social necessity. Teenagers wearing mouth braces might be advised to take care when they kiss each other - sometimes they get stuck together.
