Common Cold

Colds are very common and the average person will have at least 2-4 per year. There are hundreds of different viruses responsible for the common cold. Cold symptoms are miserable, affecting head, throat, and chest, and are often accompanied by high temperature, aches and pains, and lack of energy.

Contrary to popular belief, colds are not caused by cold weather, although any extreme in temperature has a weakening effect on the immune system. Impaired immunity leaves an individual with less natural resistance to fight off all infections whether it be viral, bacterial, yeast or fungal.
