Lichen Planus

Lichen Planus is a condition where there are dark red or purplish patches covered with lacy white lines called Wickham’s striae, which can affect any part of a body but are common on the inside of the mouth and the genitals. They are often itchy and if itching is severe may require treatment with topical steroids. The cause is unknown and they usually resolve by themselves, though it may take a year or so.
