Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis commonly affects the hip, and is more likely in those who have suffered hip injury, infection such as TB, or a congenital hip problem such as dislocation. There is pain which progresses as the condition worsens. While painkillers may lessen the symptoms, little is available to lessen the effects of wear and tear: eventually most come to joint replacement.
