Dislocation of the hip

What you need to know:

There are no natural remedies or complementary therapies to treat this condition, but massage or Aromatherapy to relieve the pain and discomfort after a dislocation is helpful. If you’re waiting for hip replacement surgery, see a registered osteopath or chiropractor for advice on muscle strengthening exercises. The stronger your buttock, hip and thigh and leg muscles are, the quicker you’ll be able to walk after the operation. These exercises will also reduce your risk of suffering a post-operative dislocation.
