Osteopetrosis

Osteopetrosis, also called marble bone disease, is an inherited condition where the bones are abnormally dense due to over deposition of calcium in the matrix of the medulla. This means that the bones are very brittle and liable to fracture. It also means an increased likelihood of anaemia or reduction in other blood cells because of the reduced amount of bone marrow.
