Psychiatric Diseases

What you need to know:

Depending on the type and degree of illness, complementary therapies may help, but only alongside expert conventional medical treatment.

Hypnosis may be worth trying and naturopaths have found that dietary changes and vitamin therapy can help for some conditions in some people. It’s essential, however, that you see a registered naturopath or qualified nutritionist with an interest in this area.

It’s also worth pointing out that complementary therapists normally have more time to spend with patients, and sometimes just talking about problems can help.
