Migraine attacks may present with visual changes - such as flashes of light or colours, or loss of vision in one eye. The deficit usually resolves as the attack progresses and fades. It may be prevented by avoiding known trigger factors, or by using prophylactic treatment to stop attacks happening (see Migraine in the brain headaches section)
