The Eye develops as an extension of the brain, to which it is connected by the optic nerve. The 2 eyes see things slightly differently. This binocular vision gives us the ability to see things in 3 dimensions. Movements of the 2 eyes - up, down, side to side or diagonally - are controlled by 6 muscles. The eyeballs should move in parallel to maintain binocular vision. | |||
