Ear Wax

What you need to know:

Softening the wax with a little warm olive or almond oil is often all it takes to remove a build-up of wax blocking the ear canal. Do not heat the oil in a pan on the stove; place the bottle in a bowl of hot water and apply a few drops with a dropper and plug with cotton wool.

Ear syringing is less frequently used these days because of the risk of damaging the eardrum. Most specialists prefer to use suction.
