Benign Positional Vertigo

Benign positional vertigo is a condition where there are recurrent attacks of dizziness associated with nausea, unsteadiness and Nystagmus (flicking movements of the eyes) lasting several minutes, occurring frequently over a matter of days. The cause is usually unknown, and it subsides without treatment. If it is persistent, and progressively severe, it may need to be investigated to rule out the possibility of a brain tumour.
