Neuralgia

Trigeminal neuralgia is a severe pain, sharp and stabbing in nature, lasting a few seconds, and affecting one side of the face. Attacks may be precipitated by touching the face at a particular spot. It is caused by irritation of the trigeminal nerve, which supplies sensation to the face. It may need to be treated using anti epilepsy drugs, or surgery may be required.
